Hotel Tornielli 9

The hotel is a fascinating building with a lot of history. The air conditioning unit in the room was appreciated but didn’t seem to work very well so we ended up opening the window. We were both covered in mosquito bites, which we were fairly warned about but it was too hot to sleep with the window shut. A mosquito screen would be useful. Toilet very awkwardly placed and too close to the shower meaning you kind of need to sit sideways on it. Bidet could be removed and toilet could be moved there to make bathroom more useable. The man at the front desk is nice but boy is the guy at breakfast grumpy. The consensus between the four of us is that it felt like he has very negative energy. Even other guests looked uncomfortable. Could hear his sighing during breakfast and moody cleaning up of plates on both mornings. The only time he seemed not angry was when we saw him briefly with his two other coworkers. This was unfortunate as it really impacted the stay as every breakfast felt quite stressful. Location is great for walking around Novara.

Pretty average hotel. People in the reception was nice. Rooms were old very old. Beds were really small. No cooling not even fans. Couldn’t sleep well because of mosquitoes. Bathrooms were not good at all. Location was okay… 10-15 mins walk to the train station. Many restaurants nearby at walking distance. Breakfast was also average nothing special.
